If you're looking to boost your 4G signal either in your home or office, then the SD-RP-1002-L signal repeater kit is the best one for you. It boosts your 4G signal (800MHz only) for all major mobile network providers in Ireland, Europe and the rest of the world. Take note though, that this kit will only work on 800MHz or Band 20 4G/LTE. Make sure that this frequency band is the one you are receiving in your area or the place where you wan't to improve your signal.
Tree, Meteor/Eir, and Vodafone transmits 4G using either 800Mhz and 1800MHz and that would mean that all these networks are supported, but only on 800Mhz frequency. So make sure that you test the signal you're currently on before buying this kit.

How The SD-RP-1002-L 4G Repeater Works?
The repeater receives the weak 4G signal outside your home, then ampplifies the signal, filters it and re-transmit the signal throughout your home/office via an indoor or outdoor transmitter antenna. All users within the area (of up to 4-rooms) can receive and use the boosted signal.
In Ireland, 4G is usually transmitted at 800Mhz especially in rural areas, like the County Cork. This specific repeater kit is made specifically to boost 800MHz 4G signal. 4G frequency comes in two bands, Band 20 (800MHz) and Band 3 (1800MHz).
Note: This repeater only amplifies 4G data, and will not amplify your voice calls. If you require voice and 4G data, we reccommend the SD-RP-1002-LG repeater kit.

How To Install The StellaDoradus SD-RP1002-L Signal Booster Kit
To install the SD-RP1002-L booster kit, follow the simple steps below.
Note: The unit used in the video demo is not the actual SD-RP1002-L model.
- Install the outdoor antenna in a place where you know you have reasonable signal, like your roof or mast.
- Run the cable down inside your house to the booster device and connect it. A 12 meter cable length should be the maximum for optimal performance.
- Attach the outdoor antenna cable the indoor panel antenna to the repeater.
- Plug in the power to the booster device.
- You're done!
There are smartphone apps available that you can use to exactly point your receiver antenna to the nearest network operator's mast.
We recommend the OpenSignal app for both iPhone and Android.
NOTE: The external receiver antenna has an LED light signal strength indicator. Please refer to the YouTube below on how to use.

If all 6 (1-6) green LEDs all lit up, the signal from the indoor antenna will be able to cover 30mx30m of open space.The omni-directional ceiling mount antenna on the other hand, is able to cover a radius of 17m.
With the omnidirectional antenna, signal passes through non-metal doors. It is not possible to pass through a solid wall. However, it will bounce off the walls and pass through the doors.
So, if you have a 2-3 storey house, with solid internal walls and a concrete ceiling between the floors, then you will need a 4-port repeater (Office Repeater). Office Style Repeters comes with 4 individually amplified internal antennas and is better suited for this type of house. It is also more suitable for offices.
However, this is only in open space. In practice, it equates to about 4 sized rooms in a typical building layout. The coverage depends on the type of walls inside your building.
Concrete or metal insulated walls will reduce the coverage, whereas plaster board walls and wide open internal spaces allow an increase in coverage.

All the walls are concrete block and the doors are wooden.
Building A: In this building, we can get away with using only one antenna. The signal will pass through the doors to the three smaller rooms.
Building B: This building has a corridor separating the rooms. To achieve maximum coverage with only one antenna, we place the antenna in the corridor as shown. Notice the reduction of signal in all the rooms. Interior concrete block walls reduce coverage significantly. If you require more reliable coverage in the rooms, you will need more antennas. More antenna would mean more antenna ports are needed. If so, the we recommend the Office Repeater in this case.
