Using it, you can connect two LAN wireless at a great distance. You can share your broadband connection from your house to your friend's house - or from point A to point B.

The Tenda O6 5GHz 11AC N433 Outdoor Point to Point CPE, is neither a router nor a wifi expander, though it can function as such. O6 is an ultra long range wireless network bridging device, specially designed for remote wireless networking solution. The range of this particular model, can cover a distance of up to 10 Kilometers. While the Tenda O3 model reaches up to 5 Kilometres long.

  • NOTE 1: The O6 and O3 on the model number is spelt with an O - capital letter O.
  • NOTE 2: You need two of these when doing a wireless bridging. Where one should act as the sender, while the other as receiver.

It features an external power amplifier and a built-in 16dBi directional antenna to provide an efficient way to pick up and maintain a stable wireless signal. More of its features are listed below.

Sample Applications

  1. Long-distance Wireless Connection: For a long distance cable-less data transmission, you need to set one device in AP mode, while the other should be in Station mode.

The Front Panel

Front Panel Includes: GND
Item Port/Button Description
1 GND Use to protect the device from surge and lightning. Connect the GND port to a grounding bar/rod of a building/house, with a grounding cable and fix it using the included ground screw.
2 OFF/STA/AP Used to adjust operation mode of the device.
OFF Is the Default Option. When it is in OFF position, you can change the operation mode through the Web UI
STA When it is on STA position, the device only works at station mode and you can’t change the operation mode through the Web UI.

AP When it is on AP position, the device only works at AP mode and you won’t be able to change the operation mode through the Web UI.
3 Bridge Use to bridge two devices or reset the device.

To bridge two devices:
1. Press and hold this button for 3-7 seconds, when operating under AP mode. When you release the button, LED1 / LED2 / LED3 starts blinking.
2. Within two minutes, press and hold this button for 3-7 seconds on another O6 device, that is operating under Station Mode. When you release the button, LED 1-3 of both devices will light-off and when they light on and keep steady, it indicates that the two devices were bridged successfully.
RST (Reset) Resetting the O6 Device: Press and hold this button for over 15-seconds to rest the device to factory default.
4 PoE This port should connect to a Power-over-Ethernet adapter to provide power to the device and transmit data, both at the same time.
LAN/WAN It works interchangeably as a WAN port in router-mode, or as a LAN port in other modes.
5 Ethernet Cable Slot Used to let the cable through, for a snug fit installation.

Solid When two devices bridge successfully, LED1/LED2/LED3 keeps solid. The three LEDs indicate the signal strength of the other bridged device. By default, the relations between the signal strength and LEDs are shown below, and you can modify each LED’s threshold on the web UI.

  • -90 dBm < signal strength < -80dBm: LED1 turns green.
  • -80 dBm < signal strength < -70dBm: LED1 and LED2 turn green.
  • -70 dBm < signal strength: All the three LEDs turn green.
